“Rays of Hope”
38-minute commemorative video
“When the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship wanted a video commemorating their 20th anniversary, they turned to Beckstein Productions. We were really able to sink our teeth into this project. From the research, set-up, and writing; to the interviews, videography, and editing--we took care of all aspects of this production. We traveled the country interviewing the 20 “Rays of Hope” honored by NCCS. Some of the honorees featured in the video included television news anchor, Katie Couric; General H. Norman Schwarzkopf; Olympic Gold Medalist, Scott Hamilton; Senator Jay Rockefeller; and Lilly Tartikoff. The video tells the history of the 20-year old organization by profiling the inspirational people who have touched NCCS over the years. It was the centerpiece of the NCCS 2006 “Rays of Hope” Gala held in Washington, DC, on April 26. As a cancer survivor, I was truly honored to have the opportunity to work on this rewarding project.”
