Our Story > Becky Krimstein

Becky Krimstein, Co-owner


Becky Krimstein is a video and film producer with more than 18 years of television experience. She and her husband are the owners of Beckstein Productions, a video production company specializing in documentaries, corporate videos, and videos for associations.


The company’s most recent documentary, “A Cancer Rainbow:Snapshots From My Journey,” has been honored with a Gracie Allen Award, a Telly Award, a Platinum Award in the Houston International Film Festival, a Gold Medal in the NY International Film and Video Festival, and a regional Emmy nomination.


Becky was the Assistant Managing Editor for Television at the Associated Press in Washington, DC for four years. While at AP, she managed the company’s domestic television operation and was responsible for the launch of AP’s first state video service. She has also held television management positions at WUSA-TV in Washington, DC, WTNH-TV in New Haven, Connecticut, and WTVR-TV in Richmond, Virginia. Throughout her television career, she has been involved in many aspects of the business including writing, on-air reporting, and producing. However, most of her focus was on managing the daily news product.


Becky is an eight year breast cancer survivor. Her passion outside of television is fighting cancer and getting the word out about early detection. She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship. She is very active in the breast cancer community and served on the Consumer Advisory Board of the Suburban Breast Center in Bethesda, Maryland, for four years. She has also served on the Komen National Race for the Cure Survivor Committee. Becky is the recipient of the 2002 BMW/ KomenFoundation Local Hero Award for her work in the fight against breast cancer.


Becky is a 1985 honor graduate of Lynchburg College, where she earned a B.A. in Journalism.
